The Central Government has increased the wages of workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme by an average of 2.7%, lowest wage hike ever. Rs 1 hike was given in Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while it was Rs 2 in Tamil Nadu and Odisha, and Rs 3 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The government of Haryana stands first by giving a hike of Rs 18.

5. Two Dead After a Training Plane Crashed into River in Maharastra


Two people were killed incident where a small training plane had crashed into the Wainganga river near Gondia in Maharastra. The Trainer Ranjan Gupta and the trainee pilot Shivani were on board the DA42 aircraft and were killed after the plane lost contact with ATC at 0940 hrs.

Nirmal Singh, Deputy CM of Jammu & Kashmir, commented on Government decision to suspend the internet for a month in the region said that life is more important than internet services. “Social Media groups that are being operated from Pakistan are regulating and inciting youth in Kashmir,” he said. The government has banned the internet services in the state from Monday.
