1. ISIS Targets Historic Monument in India Released Graphic Images

Islamic State (ISIS), an international terrorist organization has released graphic images which depict the possible attack on Taj Mahal.

The graphic features a fighter wearing combat fatigues and black headgear armed with an assault rifle and a rocket-propelled grenade standing near the 17th-century monument of love constructed by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in Agra.

The Union Cabinet approved the new “National Health Policy” passed by the Union Health Minister, JP Nadda. The new policy aims to provide free essential medicines and assured health services. “Every one in the country will be given assured health services. Every section of the society belonging to any financial status, whosoever comes to our public health facility, will get assured services. This policy is patient-centric and the patient has been empowered,” Nadda said.

3. Movie Ticket Prices to be Capped at Rs 200 in Karnataka

As per Karnataka State Government new budget announcement, movie tickets are to be capped at Rs 200 irrespective of day and timing. The move is a part of Government to develop the film industry in the State. The Government has also made a mandate to show Kannada and regional languages films in one screen of multiplex cinemas of the State at prime times between 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

4. Fake distance PU College Exposed in Karnataka

A fake private distance learning college, which allegedly duped over 70 PU students by issuing fake degrees since 2016 was uncovered by the officials of Bangalore University. The college offered fake BA, B.com, BBM degrees after conducting the final exams and charged fees between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per candidate, said the police.

5. Last Chance to Industries Functioning Without Environment Clearance

The Union Environment Ministry had given a six-month window and a “one-time opportunity” for the industries that are operating without Environment Clearance (EC) to apply for the outdated green certificate and had laid several conditions to obtain clearance. Industries that fail to obtain EC would not to allowed to continue.

6. Show-cause notice issued to Bihar IAS Officers

The Bihar Government on Thursday issued a show-cause notice to over a dozen of IAS officers and nearly 28 District Magistrates of Bihar who had formed a human chain in the prohibited area outside Raj Bhavan to register their protest against the arrest of Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC). Sudhir Kumar, Chairman of BSSC, was arrested earlier who is alleged to have a connection in questions leakage of the examination conducted by BSSC.

8. Jio Effect: BSNL to offer 2GB 3G data and Unlimited Free Calling @399/month

Reliance Jio had announced a Rs 303 plan per month, that offers 1GB 4G data/day and unlimited calling to any network to customers who opted for Jio Prime Services @Rs 99, a one-time registration fee. To counter the threat from Jio, state-run telecom firm BSNL has launched a new Rs 399 plan on Thursday. The BSNL’s Rs 399 plan offers 2GB of 3G data/day and unlimited calling to BSNL network and free 25 minutes calling to any network post which it charges 25 paise per minute.

Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Wednesday, had told the House that Government has taken a decision to make modification in the EPF scheme which allows around 4 crore members of retirement fund body EPFO to withdraw up to 90% of their EPF fund for making down payments while buying homes.
